About The Entry
This work is a giant plant sculpture themed on West Highland White Terriers, located in the central green space of Suhewan in Shanghai, and it's a flagship exhibit for the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival. The sculpture is made entirely of living plants, with fine-leaved fescue and blue fescue creating fluffy, lively fur, paired with petunias and dusty miller to make gradient floral decorations, and succulents adding fine details, giving it a cute and vibrant look.
The piece deeply integrates plant landscaping with public art, breaking traditional ideas of green sculpture. Using a cute pet image, it brings urban healing vibes and helps relieve city life stress; the site also features pet-friendly areas, expanding the service scope of public spaces. Originally planned as a limited-time exhibit, its popularity among citizens extended the display period, making it a trendy city landmark.
This project practices sustainable ecological design, activating urban green spaces through natural art and achieving a multidimensional unity of ecological, artistic, cultural, and social value.
