Xanadu

The project is located in a mountainous area in the east of Shiyan, Hubei. It is only 3 kilometers away from the city center. After the tunnel is opened, it takes only one kilometer to reach here.The superior geographical location makes us realize that even if we live in the city, there is still the possibility of finding a peach blossom here, which can dispel the nostalgia of "nowhere to find pastoral songs".



Thus, the imagination of life in Taoyuan unfolded. In this mountain, we build a fully functional community commercial center, from the perspective of nature and life, shaping the Taoyuan spirit of this land.



The site itself has a height difference of 12 meters. We combed the site height difference and surrounding landscape resources to create a mountain peach. The aesthetic pavilion with gable roof echoes with the surrounding mountain environment, and the landscape adopts an intervention method of echoing and merging to follow the situation and complete the shaping of the Taoyuan spirit.



In the design, we extended the entrance area to create a kind of "Hundred Steps on the Bank" in Tao Yuanming's pen, and turned into the interior, "suddenly meeting the peach blossom forest". At the same time, the form of expression is mainly polyline, which echoes the external shape of the building, making the landscape and the building more integrated.
