Wonderland Under the Hill

In this residential project, we tried to focus on not only the basic needs and functions of this family, but also, as a vacation house, we want to create a complete connection between the internal and the external area. To be able to live around by the green and light is the absolute atmosphere we want to present. In order to do so, we widely opened all the walls on the first floor and transformed into floor-to-ceiling glass doors, moreover, doors can be entirely opened when it needed. The main entrance is intentionally expanded by occupying part of the outdoor space, it gives extra space between the stair and the main door. In this area, we have chosen a stenciled marble to set an contrast with the white stair. Living room and dinning area are located on the left and right side of the hall, and both of these two rooms can be entirely connected to the garden when needed. Also, people can embrace a maximum amount of sunlight when they stay at the inside of the house. For the conscience of the elders, we have planned a bedroom on the first floor to prevent unnecessary walks. Mater bedroom, guest room, and children’s bedroom are all placed on the second floor. To reflect the our design theme, we have selected our furniture carefully to express natural feelings for master bedroom, however, the choice of a mirror-surfaced bathtub create a luxury sense. On the top of the bathtub, a designed arc-shaped ceiling and the botanic wallpaper create a vision of “Eden Garden.” The crystal wall by the side of children's bedroom reflects daylight and make this room even more dreamlike. As for the third floor, we designed a multi-function room where can allow the family engage to different kinds of activities.Lastly, for the external space, we chose to design a sunken style of garden. At the left side of garden, we created several water features to give a natural sense of feeling.
