Shaoxing CIFI Plaza

Sited at the eastern part of Shaoxing’s Yuecheng district, this neighbourhood shopping mall sits close to Jinghu core area and the old city, offering 60,000 square metres of GFA above ground and another two levels underground.

Anchored by a 6,000-square-metre supermarket and a 3,800-square-metre cinema, its retail space also features a ground-level themed zone while the third floor houses a transparent OPENHOUSE and a balcony decorated with lit-up trees. The project also includes the conservation of a 420-year-old camphor tree.

OPENHOUSE is a 7.2-metre transparent social and entertainment space visible through the building skin. Overlooking waterscapes to the west, it provides a point of interest along the façade and a community space for people, fostering interspatial engagement and connection with the streetscape.

The curvilinear façade adopts a sleek seamless design with undulating patterns inspired by the streams flowing around Jiangnan’s idyllic water villages, creating an iconic leisure destination for Yuecheng or even Shaoxing.
