Facing two roads, the mansion is in Taichung’s municipal area main road. It is located around four parks, with scenery full of greenery and open landscape view; giving an impression of an open window from busy modern urban life to mother nature. The focus of this project is vertical greening; adopting visual penetrable design with special mirror refraction design, therefore bringing natural light into the room allowing the residents to embrace natural light and forest green scenery in their daily life.

The interior visual base is in light and earthy colors, echoing the greens outside, bringing vigorous life with calm and gentle touch. A corner by the window is decorated with a large mirror to blur the bulky spatial structure and bring the greenery inside; letting the light penetrate the room, reaching every corner of the mansion in all four seasons to give a sense of spaciousness. The designer uses different colors to define rooms’ level of privacy, limit the use of wall partitions to maintain the sense of transparency and to emphasize the visual highlight while maintaining the smooth flow of movement. The warm wood pattern wall and the green scenery reflect each other, matching it with marble tiles would make the space even warmer and connect more with the scenery outside, it made the view extend infinitely. Hidden storage design and simple furniture decoration give the space a tidy accent, showing a calm and implicit modern minimalist style. The window view and moderate white space also form a perfect marble-ish poetry scenery.

The designer uses natural light, mirror refraction and soft furnishing with windowsill or balcony drought-tolerant plants, which show an accent of nature and do a perfect job maintaining the air circulation; on the other side also ensure sufficient natural light to penetrate the room, therefore adjust the temperature and humidity as well saving energy by using less energy-consuming air conditioner and shortened light using time to achieve a friendly environment and alleviate urban high temperature phenomenon.
