The Muse of IKB

The design of the gym room「MT PRO」is to find the possibility of a new type of fitness space, with strong but pure International Klein Blue (IKB) and pink neon light to form a unique color collision and strike a strong visual contrast. The black and white linear illustration is jointly created with local young artists, it intergrades the elements of Macau culture and daily fitness to add more visual interests and artistic touch to the design, creating its own fashion culture. From glass to cement, neon lights to grid panels, the materials used in the design brings out the aesthetic conflicts between transparent and rough, vintage and avant-garde, in order to create its own material design language. Furthermore, floor-to-ceiling windows are used to bring natural light to the space. The light tubes from the false ceiling creates a bright and intertwined light and shadow effects through the grid panels, and together with the vintage pink neon lights, they create an open, bright and dynamic sports space.
