The property is located at Chengdu East Street where is suffused with both profound history and modern vitality. Seeing the old echoed by the new and the past meeting the present, we try to present “classical” lifestyle in a “modern” way. Continuing the spirit of the place, the design fuses Chinese cultural essence into the Western hotel brand’s DNA to redefine Chinese style of travel and living with a quality of “modest luxury”.

Jade, a jewel and also a symbol of gentlemen in Chinese culture, is used as a design clue to lend the space the qualities of gentleness, modesty and reservation. In addition, the most representative local folk art - Sichuan Opera - is borrowed, together with Jade Culture, to express both the urban elite’s and fashion followers’ eclectic and upbeat attitude towards life and work.

Stretched or deformed, this is how the curved lines of facial makeup of Sichuan Opera are applied in the space to reinforce the mild vibe. Although complemented by gold to highlight dignity, black and white tones dominate the color palette to express the ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang and Ziran (nature). The shape and texture of materials like wood, stone and metal are selected to echo the hard yet smooth trait of jade.
