Jin Mao Qingdao The Mall of Splendors

The project is located in the high-tech zone of Qingdao, Shandong, China. Right next to “The Garden of Eden” - one of the biggest ecological Park in China, which is the main development zone of Qingdao.

Taking advantage of local history, culture, and geography, the main idea of the project is designated as “Jungle Republic”. Emphasized the communication between human vs. human, human vs. nature, and human vs. future. We stretch its superiority into interior spaces after absorbing the vital part of Eden’s environmental protection idea.

The ideas of star, valley, waterfall, and cave, have been integrated into the design. “Galaxy Salon” on the top level, and “Rain Forest Trails” on the southwest side of the mall are the highlight zones of the design. Additionally with the dramatic sport-themed space “Giant Crystal Cave” tempts young families and “Gen Z” to stay, and consume, which can break the limitation of target consumers, and weaken the difference between interior hot zone and cool zone accordingly.

The B1-themed street is inspired by the wine cellar, which recalled the view of folk wine culture. The unified outer wing area and scattered islands which blurred the boundaries of the public area, and enriched the shopping experience of customers.
