On arrival of Tangshan Run Tang, a monumental building sits against the mountainous backdrop of Tangshan. The architect has created a distinctive building of character reminiscing the containers on one of the business ports of China. Tall glass façade with different tones of opacity softens the outlines of the building. A grand entrance that also connects the colonnade to the courtyard evoking the first railways of Tangshan transporting from one place to another. These “jewels” i.e. Mountains; shipping ports and railways, serves as inspiration and concept to the interiors.
A perfectly balanced lobby space promotes harmony and the reception area that exudes luxury. Using various luxurious natural materials like imported Carrera marble, leather tiled feature wall and custom light features further accentuate the space.
The grand staircase is a great engineering feat in itself and a sight to behold. Practically free of peripheral structure, the stairs seemingly floats through the different levels. A huge team comprising of architects; structural engineers; designers and contractors has worked tediously to make this happen. Each step is constructed with a single slab of marble overlapping each other, meticulously calculated to make each step manageable and the journey effortless. Concealed lighting is cleverly placed in between each layer to soften the framework of the stairs and to create visual interest.
