With the design team’s expertise in architecture, a lot of emphasis of Spontaneous Flow of Wind & Water is not merely on interior decoration but, more importantly, on how to make the best of its environment. As the residence has the advantage of being surrounded by mountain and wind, the design aims to usher the wind behind the building into each and every corner of the residence by means of its layout. To meet the homeowner’s preference for natural materials, natural wood veneer, engineered flooring, thin stone and glass are specifically selected for their diverse natural veins and textures. Aside from using natural materials effectively, energy consumption is reduced to make the vibe and natural light move as easily as the wind, spontaneously and endlessly.

To make it possible for users to enjoy the mountain scenery in every part of the residence, unobstructed view and easy movement are taken into account in the renovation, and unnecessary dividers in the space are taken down. The floating long island bar allows the wind to move freely. The countertop is covered with artificial stone, while its bottom is paved with dark thin stone. The cabinets behind the bar are constructed in the same vein. Also, streamline wood texture and dark stone paired with indirect lighting create a sophisticated touch of technology that is neat but not cold.

Paired with light-tone engineered scraped flooring, unadorned textures of stone and hardwood invoke a touch of nature. Apart from a careful selection of simple materials, storage and display are thoughtfully organized. The dining room shares the same touch of nature, with grilles decorating the pantry and with asymmetrical storage.

On the balcony with a lowered floor are plants. As the balcony is made level with the living room, interior space appears to extend outdoors, making it a great enjoyment to embrace the splendid mountain scenery outside the windows.
