The Hulking Mist

The overall space is infused with a low-key and changing atmosphere by applying vintage-like metal panels, blue artistic tiles, and wooden elements. The interior sends out a vacation vibe through the transparent daylight, while greenery can be seen through the French windows; the semi-open-end method also connects all areas. The background wall is designed as the same length as the dining table and is collaged by bright blue tiles; the mottled yet rich grains have created ocean imagery that is mysterious and refreshing. Different materials have worked together to added a poetic and artistic sense to the space. Many initial materials in ecology color tones are used within the space; the designer hoped to create a bond between the interior with the natural sceneries outside the window. Wooden floorings, hardware elements, stone-grained floorings, and imported German mineral paints created the purest and simple spatial feeling. The advantages of transparent daylight from the initial base are reserved; light bulbs will not be needed during the daytime. The overall space has achieved energy-saving, carbon-reduction, and low pollution and has further met sustainable environmental development requirements. This space is close to the mountains and is initially equipped with beautiful natural landscapes. The designer rearranged the spatial, transform each area’s traffic flow, and matched with different materials to create a harmonious and continuous tonal that achieved the perfect balance between space and nature. At the same time, the kitchen area is specially designed as a spinout shape, not only to be created as the center of the structure that gathers family members but also broken through the original limitations to create an expansive spatial feeling. The owner is now allowed to escape from the noisiness of the city and soak into nature back at home.
