Santorini Apartment is sited beside Xihu Lake, Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. It’s inspired by an island on the Aegean, namely Santorini which is not only the origin of civilization of Western Europe, but also the symbol of romance.

Santorini Apartment evolves from the typical architecture at the late Mediterranean classical age. It reveals a lively collision between creamy-white and purple, thus enriching the space with romantic flavor. Arc elements run through the entire space along with flexible curves. The vault and ground follow the dome of Santorini architecture which tends to conceal the transition between space by crossed arcs, arches and spatial blocks.

Furniture here whether the sofa or the hearth seems like stretching from the wall while integrating into the wall. Therefore, a sense of oneness arises naturally. Instead of the traditional ceiling, the bathroom employs a purple acrylic semi-sphere which is transparent so that the entire space allows more light to pass through. The arc strip lighting, wall wash lighting and the bedside star-esque lighting are positioned appropriately in the bedroom where users can immerse in the romantic mood and tender lighting, and recall their love memories deep inside.
