As a townhouse at the corner with wonderful natural lighting, the bright living space is designed with a concise but elegant style. The floating installation design technique and the artworks arrangement contribute to an exquisite atmosphere of cultured environment. With use of wooden materials and metals as partial decoration, it creates a visual contrast for a space with diverse details. Glass and mirrors these translucent/reflective materials visually widen the space while ensuring the residents’ privacy. Shedding indirect lights on these materials, a grand yet delicate vibe.

The art-gallery-themed entrance applied with geometric elements shows the taste of the owner, slowing down the residents’ and guests’ pace for life while enjoying the art pieces. With artworks served as visual aids, the floating installation of cabinets and hollow benches create a sense of generosity. The hidden door design, additionally, betters the flow around the stairs, transitioning to the waiting area for the elevator.

The living/dining room is an area with great natural lighting introduced from different directions. Varying from the tradition of fixing TV on the main wall, the designer arranges an independent/two-sided TV wall island between the living and the dining. The floating TV wall with an elongated base ingeniously connects two rooms into one. Through this design, it creates a visual focus of the space, which also solves the issue of lacking partitions when trying to introduce more natural light in.

Apart from that, in order to keep the original layout of the balcony, the designer combines the island, dining table, and balcony into a whole social/recreational area for outdoor cooking/barbeque and leisure dining. This area is equipped with multiple functions, offering a space for the residents to live a downshifting lifestyle in various scenarios. The connection between the spaces makes each step a frame, each functional transition a much more fluid living moment.
