Bathed in Sunshine

The residence is around 79.32-squar-meter. As the houseowner loves the feelings of natural simplicity and of the warm woody texture, the design concept is mainly focused on American classic style. Therefore, a large of Rose-White is used as the main color for the entire space, and the line carved board and wood floor are adopted to build a natural and cozy vibe. The wall connected to the dining table makes the dividing line between public and private area. However, the circular circulation near the dining table emphasizes the table is the main axis of the overall space and it gathers communication and interactions between family members together.

In addition, the living room, dining area and the study are on the same horizontal axis which connects the circulation and visuals of the open-plan space and also guides the penetration of daylight. Moreover, the design team use many items with cold-baked-paint finish to build the exquisite texture. Hence, the strong contrast of the white space with black metal items and wood furniture softens the cold feeling which is resulted by large white area. The study and dining room are divided by casement doors. To meet houseowner’s requirement, full-wall cabinets with open shelves are used so that the owner can place her favorite books and collections. The team use white line carved boards with classical pull handles in the master room to make a connection with open-plan space. A large white pop with the color of milk-tea and wood to create restful sleeping area. Also, the bathroom behind hidden door uses marble-patterned tiles and hexagonal tiles creating an affordable luxurious atmosphere. The design team try to build new possible interactions between people and the layout of the house. Through the design team’s ingenuity, more sunlight flood in the house via a movement of a wall, of a door, of a corridor. The white space is decorated with some wood items which is given various looks due to sunlight, sometimes dazzling, sometimes witty, sometimes gentle, so that the family who work in the concrete jungle have an elegant, cozy place to live and rest.
