The Dakini Déesse Retail Store design aims to achieve an immersive shopping experience that intrigues the patrons with its Bhutanese cultural background. The store design acts as a physical medium that signifies Dakini Déesse's Bhutanese cultural origins.
To intrigue passersby in the department store without mistaking the store with another cultural brand, the challenges are the selection and combination of obvious and symbolic cultural elements of Bhutan.
Altogether, the elements of Bhutanese red, traditional Bhutanese window frame, wooden beam-shaped display, and dark terrazzo center display reveal the silhouette of Bhutan as one enters the Dakini Déesse's store. From the subconscious tactile interaction with the terrazzo counter and beam-shaped display to unboxing and smelling the aroma of the products, space branding design is what connects all of the patrons' senses to create a completely immersive experience. The ultimate goal of the design is to extend the sensory experience to memory. A memory of Bhutan through Dakini Déesse.
