SpoutDesign has freed itself from the traditional design of Chinese dowry cake but transforms the couple's love story into a visual dynamic packaging underpinned by the integration of Eastern and Western cultures. Such endeavours have mirrored the romance of marriage.
The imagery of “stars”, the main design feature, is conjoining the homophonic names of the couple in Chinese. On the inner packaging, five abstract forms of stars are employed as metaphor, and the configuration of stars demonstrates five stages of the couple’s love relationship.
While the outer packaging is equipped with the lenticular ring. When one pulls it, it will showcase the glowing stars of lifelike, and the couple’s love story of five different stages, which can also be deemed as an invitation to the distinguished guests to the banquet.
