Dayun Thatched Cottage

This project is located in Lijiang of Yunnan Province. It’s an art creation by the experience of the owner gains for many years and hometown accent. On the basis of concept of focusing on its rhyme, the designer makes a good combination between the traditional wabi-sabi style and the minimalism, creating an aesthetic temperament and interest that suitable with modern generations while being a more comfortable place featuring leisure and accommodation functions.
Different from traditional new Chinese style, the designer uses micro cement on large area to combine with log furniture. Thanks to the decoration of bronze and stainless steel materials, the plain and simple feeling reflects the history of our time, making people feel as if time is still. In this way, a entertainment space featuring leisure and relaxation is created.
The leisure and entertainment area is centered on the swimming pool, the bar, dining area, sofa area and music area are distributed around the swimming pool orderly. Each and every space is independent while interconnected, which is conducive to build a unified and harmonious leisurely atmosphere. Meanwhile, the designer makes a good use of Western modernism into this design.
Inspired by the minimalism spirit of modern artist Lucio Fontana, the designer pays more attention to the larger spiritual field behind the space in details. Meanwhile, the designer is committed to making combination between time and space and trying to build art on this basis. The design of the fireplace in the dining area is exactly a fusion of this concept. For example, behind the wall is the slightly lifted light and light; The fusion and evolution of static elements changes the dynamic perception, as if build a new dimension of depth beyond the visual perception.
As for the accommodation area, the designer still decoration it under minimalism spirit. There’s no grandiose decorations and trival modelling, but is bright and lively atmosphere. To be specific, the designer combines the most simpleand pure elements with exquisite layout, creating a harmonious area for travelers to enjoying themselves.
