The house originally consisted of two stories and average layout. The designers replaced three bedrooms with two, and removed the walls and interior doors while re-locating the staircase to make the house open and airy. The old cramped two-generation home has been transformed into a conceptual large loft.

The overall design of the first floor is more restrained than the downstairs, with the black and white photography leading the tone, modern, free and vibrant, from which all the furnishings unfold. The choice of lighting and furniture is based on more basic shapes and the artworks on more contemporary forms.

On the east side of the first floor, the dining area, reading area and washbasin are linked together. It is an unconventional design approach, with an open layout that also allows full daylight into the room.

A straight staircase brings you to the basement floor, which was formerly the unworthy area but is now the owners' main living space, combining multiple functions such as multimedia, meditation, display and sleeping, and is a favorite for friends. Similar to the first floor, this place cannot be defined by a single attribute. Like a stage set for a play, they experience a variety of lives as they move around, more like attending a carnival, with surprises hidden everywhere.

The top of the living room is clad in a glass canopy with bespoke motorized sunshades that can adjust daylight as required. A warm beam of yellow sunshine will pour into the living room in the afternoon, making it an extremely rare moment of relaxation. In the evenings, the space will be lit entirely by table lamps and floor lamps, which are also extremely romantic.

Apart from the door of the storage area, the basement floor is devoid of a single wood door. The only glass sliding door between the bedroom and the living room is usually open and allows the dog to run around unhindered.

A bamboo screen from the 1980s is placed at the junction of the sneaker display area and the bathroom, which contradicts and but units with the modern carpet.
