The lighting design of the Jinling Hotel

Nanjing Jinling Hotel, the first five-star large modern luxury business hotel in Jiangsu Province, is now one of the top ten hotels in China. The hotel was once the tallest building in China, and is a dual geographic and psychological landmark of Nanjing city, which has witnessed the 40 years of China's reform and opening up and development of Nanjing city. The project includes three buildings of the main hotel, namely, the World Trade Center, the Jinling Hotel (a cultural preservation building) and the Asia Pacific Business Building, all of which are square white buildings with a calm and introverted image anda regular square grid as the architectural texture and design language on the façade, rich in humanistic atmosphere.



The lighting design of Jinling Hotel is is elegant and restrained.Under the guidance of “less is more” ,only set lamps at necessary building structures to reduce energy consumption, while strictly controlling glare by customizing the appearance of lamps and light angles to create a comfortable light environment.The project introduces intelligent control system technology to realize remote control and diverse changes of lighting, and the lighting modes are divided into weekdays, holidays, and late nights to meet the lighting needs of different periods and achieve better energy-saving effects.



Through the systematic design and construction of nightview lighting, the mutual connection between buildings is strengthened, the connection between buildings is formed by the cutting light treatment of the four corners of the building, and the mutual echo of buildings is formed by the unified style of lighting treatment at the top, forming a unified and orderly lighting environment. The top of the building is mainly illuminated, combined with the structure of the projection lamp, shaping the nighttime lighting landmark; The facade of the building adopts the way of accurate light projection, choosing 3000K-4000K neutral light color, to express the unique Chinese culture of the building. Set up a soft and elegant way of switching the lights,the lights will light up slowly at night, and then gradually fade away at night, creating a comfortable, elegant, warm atmosphere of the top-level hotel.
