Opening in November 2018, the new build Hilton Midtown Guadalajara boasts almost 4,000 generous square meters of public space amenities, including Lobby, Bar/Lounge, Restaurant, Event Areas, Rooftop Pool & Lounge, Fitness Area and Executive Lounge, along with 226 keys, including a multitude of suite types and upgraded offerings.

Considered the birthplace of Mexican culture, Guadalajara offers a bounty of inspiration – from earthy historic architecture, ornate patterns found in native pottery, to the intricate stitching that adorns the Mariachi. Our palette expresses the surrounding landscape - densely layered textures and geometries of the urban fabric highlighted with notes of earth and sky - accented with the elements of metal and glass that reflect the urban and forward-facing attitude of Guadalajara today.

Screening elements throughout cast playful shadows and celebrate the hazy warm tone of daylighting that is unique to Guadalajara. Meanwhile, regional patterns take a modern twist, represented most dominantly in our collection of custom carpets and area rugs whose blue tones suggest the traditional glaze used in Talavera pottery. Complimentary patterns are expressed at many scales and in both large and small spaces, from the window screens that adorn the public areas to the coordinating carpet and desk components in the guestrooms. Guests will delight in discovering these connections and their subtle nod to local context.

The signature element of the public areas is the series of cylindrical screens we affectionately refer to as the “baskets.” Inspired by woven handwork, the baskets organically swell outside the restaurant box, forming the signature landmark of the public zone. Additionally, they comprise a porous boundary between the dining room and adjacent circulation space, allowing for both visibility and privacy at the same time, while also sparking a sense of intrigue.
