Zhiliantai Industrial Park Urban Renewal Design

The "Zhiliantai Industrial Park Tower” is located in the center of Shenzhen's urban basin. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains in the east, west, and north, with Shenzhen Bay visible on the south. The design inspiration comes from the ancient oriental philosophy: gathering energy and blending all together. Mountains, water, and air, as the elements of the city, meet like ribbons on the site, spiraling upwards.



This "upward" form echoes the excellent view of the four directions from the air, with the plan of transform from square to windmill shape. The elegant and smooth streamlined volume implies the philosophical concept of "flow and balance", while the gradient changing architectural plan ingeniously and accurately solves the different program requirements such as commercial, office, sky lobby, and luxury apartments.



Taking into account the sunlight requirements of the surrounding buildings, we partial cut corners on the volume taking the advantage of the pinwheel-shape-volume, ensuring the comfort of the surrounding buildings, as well as the elegant and smooth overall tower image.



The building and the green park nearby form wholistic shape, and the green extends to the sky with the tower. After carefully studying the urban environment and traffic flow, the podium is also closely connected with the subway through its unique organic shapes.
