Shutougang Rural Construction Project

The Shutougang Rural Construction Project is a new attempt of rural revitalization, sets out with nature education, to be children-friendly, and stresses environmental ecology. The designers, together with nature education experts, artists, villagers, parent-child families and many other participants, discussed together in Shutougang Village in a way close to nature. The project applies native materials and natural devices from the site, combine with ecological design, and nature education activity space, to form a series of spatial scenarios to explore, understand, perceive, and experience the nature, provide an activated nature education base for the countryside and constantly introduce people into nature, and change Shutougang Village into the first nature-friendly ecological village for children in Jiangsu Province.
