Mixed Townhouse -Family Dream Home

Designer has realized a breakthrough towards the traditional concept of “a space can only be defined by one style”, making use of different elements to satisfy the needs of each family member, and perfectly combines the elements to be implemented into this residential design. The design inspirations come from the demands of different members, taking account of these, the designer extract the essence of design elements, and form it into a new look. It is a big challenge to fuse the original Country style motif tiles kitchenware to the father’s desired classic style, and also the shrine which the grandmother has requested on the ground floor. The shrine cabinet is designed with the inspiration of the symmetrical elements of classic European style, making it as an artwork in space with customized “The Maha Prajna Paramita Hrdaya Sutra” back plate. The material of the shrine is in dark wooden color to avoid the damage caused by smoke, in addition, there is a hidden ventilation equipment and shelves. From this project, designer has proven that different styles can be used in one residential space. Through the years of accumulated experiences, designer has not only fulfilled the demands of every family members by marvelous space planning, and material selection, but also breaking through the traditional typical mish-mash form , not to mention, creating a brand new tonality of overall style, as well as realizing the dream of the client’s family.
