Shuffle

Shuffle executive lounge and club is a unique social space acts as a filter between its internal space and the city outside. The club is designed with different spaces along a progressive path. Each space is a temporal field giving a unique sensory space.



On the street of Lan Kwai Fong, the bustling night-life hub in the heart of Central, Hong Kong, the architect intentionally decorated the façade of the lounge with greyish white texture paint, a minimal and rational block making a strong contrast among the glittering bars and clubs. The dark entrance has created a mysterious way heading to the unknown.



As visitors make their way through the dark entrance into a reception area, a hundred illuminated cylinders appear to float against muted black metal walls. The cylinders together form a field of objects which has created a tranquil ambience for the visitors to sediment what really matters in the moment.



The club progresses difference zones along a designated path, started from the minimal façade to the reception area…then approaching to the bar & lounge area, there features 300 bottles which programmed to illuminate in unison and in time with the music. A reflective copper portal creates a rhythm and flow from entrance to dance floor.



We set out to create a new type of place that created memories through materiality and emotion through experience. The poetics of the atmosphere allows visitors with different culture and generations to enjoy their moments in different scenes.



Located in the heart of Hong Kong, “Shuffle” set out to provide a place of respite from the outside world -- a zone of zen for your senses.
