“Happy Meal Reading Area” Themed Space Design

The "2024 Happy Meal Readers Area" has arrived at Shengli Star Village in Pingtung. With its rich historical background, this year's picture book "The Moss Twins" inspires a rejuvenation of the historic buildings, embodying the spirit of "inclusivity" and "harmony."

The concept of parent-child reading area brings energy and fun to reading through companionship: passing through the Happy Meal Box-shaped entrance allows visitors to return to a childlike state, awakening pure curiosity and imagination, and gaining different insights from the stories. This also echoes McDonald's promoted value of family companionship.

The friendly and diverse installation designs gradually immerse visitors into the story's setting: hidden in tree hollows, the Happy Meal Box sound devices play children reading "The Moss Twins" when approached. A speaking tube spanning two zones simulates whispering in the forest, using sound to bring people closer. Bean bag chairs in the reading area are filled with mung bean shells, providing a soft embrace for families to enjoy their reading time, while also promoting sustainability and harmony with the environment.

Through a series of friendly interactions, we integrate a five-sense experience into the entire reading area. This revitalizes the historic Shengli Star Village, blending new energy with local life. We aim to create a world of reading full of possibilities, embracing all readers who come to experience the joy of reading.
