SCE Property Fuzhou FUNWORLD

SCE Property Fuzhou FUNWORLD is located in the core area of Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. It is an urban TOD complex integrating multiple intersecting subway lines. The project encompasses shopping, dining, culture, leisure, entertainment, and residential functions, with a total construction area of approximately 450,000 square meters, including 140,000 square meters of commercial space. The development officially opened in December 2024.

With the changing lifestyles of the new generation, shopping centers have evolved beyond mere retail to become places that reflect current and ideal lifestyles. Based on an understanding of consumer psychology and emerging trends, our design aims to create a social platform where people can connect, communicate, and share. By merging and blurring the boundaries between atrium public spaces and retail areas, integrating walkways and mezzanine platforms, and combining circulation with public spaces, we have created a new mixed-use complex that seamlessly blends shopping and living experiences.

In this project, PHA is responsible for the facade and interior design of the commercial buildings. The facade design is inspired by the flowing water between stones, using contrasting textures and material variations to create a distinctive, landscape-like facade, integrating seamlessly with the city while maintaining a unique identity. The interior design follows the concept of "Water City +Mountain Building", reshaping the space through the profiles of raised platforms, stacked heights, and staggered layouts. This creates a dialogue between water, mountains, and the city, forming a multi-level landscape and evoking a continuous, layered spatial experience.
