The design of The Interwoven Home is rooted in the homeowners' vision of a “life puzzle,” transforming a 138.8 m² / 42-ping residence into a sanctuary that accommodates both high-pressure professional life and personal interests. The design metaphor focuses on fitting each interest, habit, and need into place, creating a dwelling that balances private retreats with shared living experiences.
The project centers on the duality of public and private domains. Layout was strategically reconfigured from three bedrooms to two bedrooms plus a walk-in closet, enhancing both comfort and privacy. The public zones establish a restrained yet rich spatial layering, achieved by intertwining a base palette of gray tones with white stone-patterned panels and metallic accents. Indirect lighting and linear strips create a soft, ambient glow, enriching the overall atmosphere.
Key innovations include the removal of the kitchen partition to create an open-plan concept, featuring a deepened island counter that seamlessly extends to the dining area—a new central hub for family interaction. In the private domain, the walk-in closet departs from the conventional four-wall enclosure, adopting a corridor-style display configuration reminiscent of a boutique or library, making storage intuitive and selection effortless. The seamless connection between the living room and study further enhances family communication, while display cabinets and a dedicated puzzle walls allow personal collections and hobbies to naturally blend into everyday life.
