About The Entry

Plateaux is a grazing company that approaches food as composition. Its ready-made grazing boxes are designed for gatherings, celebrations, and shared moments, where food functions not only as nourishment but as a visual and social experience.

At the core of the brand philosophy lies The Grazing Atelier, framing presentation as a crafted act. Food is treated as material, arrangement as authorship, and the table as a stage. The brand’s visual language draws inspiration from the lavish banquets of the French court.

Packaging plays a central role in shaping the experience. Each grazing box functions as a framing device, transforming its contents into a curated composition of colour, texture, and form. Ingredients are not concealed but revealed, allowing the food itself to become the protagonist. Transparent surfaces and open layouts turn each box into a temporary display, inviting the viewer to pause, observe, and then share. Bold colour, particularly red, is used as a statement, reinforcing a sense of spectacle and abundance.

Symbolism runs throughout the system. The peacock, paired with an ornamented fork, becomes the brand’s key emblem, referencing ceremonial dining and visual excess. The fork appears not only in the logo but also across a series of ribbon-bound cards attached to each box. These cards identify the theme of each grazing selection, linking exterior presentation with interior experience and signalling the moment when display gives way to tasting.

Typography provides structure and recognisability. The name Plateaux is written using the Greek character “Π” in place of the Latin “P.” This choice introduces presence and stability, referencing the idea of a plateau as a surface—a base upon which elements are laid out. It adds cultural depth and immediate distinction.

Through composition, symbolism, and typographic confidence, Plateaux frames food as an objet d’art. The result is a packaging system that transforms grazing into ritual and sharing into experience, where each box exists briefly but leaves a lasting impression.
