Nahato.Inc’s office is a workplace designed to bring the company’s mission - “To create a place where people who can transform Japan’s economy are born”. - to life as a daily spatial experience.
[Tokyo/ office/ completed: 2024/Area: 1588.69㎡]
Here, work and play, focus and conversation, individuality and teamwork overlap without conflict. The office presents a new model of working where people and culture grow together.
One of the most symbolic features of the space is the installation of 888 three-colour cubes that run throughout the office. Each colour represents one of nahato’s core values: Team, Growth, and Victory. These cubes are not simple decoration — they visualise the company’s philosophy as something you can experience with your body and senses. Tilted at 15-degree angles and arranged in a continuous 360-degree sequence, they express the cycle of 24 hours, symbolising daily challenges and the steady accumulation of growth. The cubes are also designed as detachable modules, allowing the values to be reconfigured and carried forward even as the organisation grows or locations change. We call this system a “Portable Culture System” — a way of making culture flexible, shareable, and sustainable.
The layout is intentionally flat and without physical or psychological barriers, removing the unseen hierarchies of position, age, and expertise, and creating an environment where all people are encouraged to engage, learn, and collaborate as equals. A central collaboration area filled with natural light, flexible zoning, and flowing circulation paths encourages people to move freely, think openly, and connect deeply. At the heart of the office is a collaboration “crossroads” where passing through and staying overlap, turning chance encounters into short conversations, and conversations into collaboration.
This office is not just a place to work. It is a vessel that carries values forward, helping the organisation grow in a sustainable way and connect more meaningfully with the wider community. It offers a new vision of the office as a space where culture is lived, shared, and continuously renewed.
