Guang Ting (光庭): A Workplace for Thought

Guang Ting (光庭), meaning a court shaped by light, is a workplace designed for President Translation Service Group International (PTSGI), a company whose work connects people across languages and cultures. The project begins with a simple belief: translation is not only the handling of words, but the careful organization of thought. From the moment people enter, the space gradually shifts their state of mind. Through the sequence of stairs, light, transparency, and generous negative space, the rhythm of the outside world is left behind, allowing focus and respect for work to emerge. White is not used as a stylistic choice, but as a shared cultural memory of laboratories, libraries, and spaces quietly surrounded by light. Guang Ting is designed to give form to people’s belief in their work. When people begin to trust the value of what they do, space itself gains strength.
