Designed exclusively for the Refreshed Tesla Model Y, Glacier Y is an OEM-style integrated refrigeration solution developed to coexist seamlessly with the vehicle’s interior architecture. By repurposing the often-overlooked left-side trunk storage slot, it achieves true zero space intrusion, preserving the original trunk floor while embedding naturally into the vehicle interior.
Guided by a "Fusion" design philosophy, Glacier Y dissolves the boundary between functional appliances and vehicle interiors, delivering an experience that feels native rather than aftermarket.
The Challenge:
Conventional car refrigerators typically occupy the central trunk floor, obstructing luggage placement and requiring complex installation that involves disassembling vehicle panels or drilling. These barriers increase the risk of damage and significantly raise the threshold for everyday use.
Technical Innovations:
1. GlideLock™ Installation System(Patented Design): To eliminate installation complexity, Glacier Y introduces a split-structure design with a patented self-guiding rail mechanism. Users simply glide the unit into the mounting slot, where it automatically aligns and locks into place in 10 seconds—without screws, tools, or vehicle modification. This ensures a secure and stable fit while enabling true plug-and-play installation. The split-structure approach further allows for fully non-invasive installation without altering the original vehicle.
2. TE-ArcSync™ 4-in-1 Integrated Smart Module: TE-ArcSync™ unifies airflow, lighting, purification, and sensing into a coordinated interior system. An 11-inch dual-ball centrifugal fan actively distributes cold air and plasma ions throughout the bin, ensuring uniform temperature control and hygienic storage. Integrated auxiliary LED lighting provides clear visibility during access and automatically turns off when the compartment is closed.
3. Ultra-Efficient Insulation (VIP Technology): To maximize usable volume within the irregular side-slot geometry, Glacier Y incorporates Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIP). This reduces wall thickness while enhancing thermal efficiency, enabling increased capacity without altering the vehicle’s original spatial proportions.
