Located on the eastern side of Sayram Lake, the project spans a site area of 177.58 mu (approximately 11.84 hectares) with a total construction area of 101,000 square meters. It introduces three major hotel brands—JW Marriott, Le Méridien, and Moxy—offering a total of 701 guest rooms.
Designed as a secluded lakeside retreat hidden along the shore, the development aims to immerse guests in the breathtaking beauty of Sayram Lake while providing luxurious comfort.
Inspired by the concept of "Boulders in the Wilderness," the architectural layout follows the natural terrain in a scattered arrangement to maximize panoramic views of the lake. The design divides the site into two distinct interfaces: the arrival interface and the lake-view interface.
Arrival Interface:
The monolithic form of the core structure, resembling a giant boulder, serves as a landmark guiding visitors to the site. A semi-enclosed space is created to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort, like a "wilderness of light."
Lake-View Interface:
Employing a terraced landscape design that steps back toward the lake, both guest rooms and public areas are granted exceptional views. The architecture subtly blends into the natural surroundings, fostering the immersive experience of a "wilderness of light."
The design breaks away from the conventional single-function hotel model, seamlessly integrating resort services with the charm of the lakeside town. The overall spatial layout achieves a balanced rhythm, where corridors connect a diverse array of facilitie including JW Marriott, Le Méridien, and MOXY hotels, an all-day dining restaurant, banquet hall courtyards, a wellness center, lakeside cabins, and a campsite.
The interplay of stone and glass curtain walls bestows the buildings with a timeless yet rugged aesthetic, establishing an iconic landmark on the lakeshore.
