About The Entry
The University of Houston’s move to the Big 12 in 2023 created an opportunity to elevate not only its football infrastructure but also its brand presence. The new Football Operations Center connected to TDECU Stadium is conceived as a high-performance environment infused with immersive branding and experiential graphic design. Every square foot is designed to tell the story of Cougar Football by celebrating NFL alumni, Academic All-Americans, All-Americans, championship teams, award winners, and defining games. The facility becomes more than a training ground. It serves as a powerful recruiting tool and a daily reminder of the standard of excellence that defines the program.
Within the 150,000 SF Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center, storytelling is woven into key touchpoints including entry sequences, legacy walls, timeline installations, donor recognition features, and integrated digital displays. Locker rooms honor players who advanced to the NFL, academic spaces spotlight classroom achievement, and corridors highlight milestone victories and historic moments through layered graphics and dimensional elements. Core spaces such as the weight room, team dining, meeting rooms, offices, and student-athlete lounge are all opportunities to reinforce identity and culture. Premium fan environments including the club lounge, suites, and rooftop terrace extend that narrative into the game-day experience, ensuring that branding and experiential design unify performance, pride, and tradition throughout the entire facility.
