The project is in Yuechi County, Guangan, Sichuan, China, covering 27,000 square meters, with functions like museum exhibitions, library and theater. It adopts post-modern design, deconstructing and reshaping traditional Chinese roofs to create a curtain wall system suitable for modern aesthetics and hot southern climates. Using lightweight translucent materials, wood and glass curtain walls, it reduces oppression and endows hazy beauty. A system of platforms, corridors and gray spaces forms a microclimate cycle. Combined with roof gardens, it adapts to local climate and spatial preferences, providing public space under eaves for citizens to relax and view. With the concept of "Layered Eaves · Ancient and Modern Yuechi", it integrates tradition and modernity, reconstructing traditional forms with modern techniques. Undulating roofs connect into ridge-like mountains, echoing Yuechi's landform and culture in Sichuan-Chongqing, symbolizing local tenacity and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage and traditional culture.
