Located in the central area of Haidian District, Beijing, this project neighbors century-old cultural landmarks such as the Old Summer Palace and the Summer Palace. Its surroundings reflect a perfect balance of natural serenity and urban energy—where vibrancy and tranquility coexist in harmony.
Guided by the concept of "capturing the essence of Eastern aesthetics as the framework, while channeling French romance as the spirit," the project seamlessly integrates Beijing's profound historical and cultural heritage with the spirit of the modern metropolis. The result is an ideal living space that honors traditional values while embracing contemporary aesthetics. This not only fulfills the aspirations of urban elites but also preserves historical spirit and culture, forming a design dialogue that transcends both time and cultural boundaries.
The entryway draws inspiration from "Chinese etiquette," featuring the auspicious cloud motif and swastika pattern—both symbols of imperial authority—alongside the "nine-by-nine door nails," the highest standard reserved for Qing dynasty imperial architecture. These traditional elements are reimagined through contemporary materials, creating a solemn and distinctive ritual experience of returning home.
Within the interior, the delicate textures of traditional embroidery echo the spirit of Eastern culture, while the natural order of Western garden greenery introduces a sense of lightness and breathability. Together, they make culture and nature, history and the future, intertwine in harmonious coexistence.
Inspired by the universal grandeur of the Old Summer Palace—often referred to as the "Garden of Gardens"—the living room embodies an artistic spirit to create an inspirational realm for contemporary living. This provides residents with a continuous source of creativity and spiritual nourishment. The "Display & Meditation Area" serves as both a private sanctuary for contemplation and a cultural salon poised for moments of inspiration, thoughtfully integrating functions of reading, hospitality, and collection. The selected Armani Casa furniture enhances the space's refined character with its restrained elegance in form and texture, presenting the poise and sophistication of contemporary luxury living.
