This project is a compact HDB apartment designed for a young couple, where space efficiency and clarity are essential. The design responds to the limitations of a small footprint by embracing a modern minimalist approach prioritising functionality, comfort, and visual lightness.

A soft palette of warm neutrals and light wood tones is used throughout to enhance the sense of openness. Clean lines, concealed detailing, and integrated carpentry help reduce visual clutter, allowing the space to feel calm and cohesive despite its compact scale. Lighting is carefully layered to create depth and warmth, transforming the apartment into a comfortable retreat.

Storage is a key consideration in this project. Custom-built cabinetry is seamlessly integrated along walls and transitional spaces, maximising every inch without overwhelming the interior. Hidden storage solutions are balanced with curated display niches, allowing personal items to be expressed subtly within a restrained design language.

Spatial planning focuses on creating a continuous and efficient flow between the living, dining, and circulation areas. Visual connections are maintained to extend perceived space, while subtle zoning defines each function. Soft curves and rounded edges are introduced to counterbalance the rigidity of built-ins, adding a gentle and inviting quality to the home.

Ultimately, the project transforms a small HDB unit into a refined and highly functional living environment where thoughtful design enhances daily life, and simplicity becomes a form of quiet luxury.
