Chrono Gate

Inspired by the 24-hour dial systems that defined aviation chronometry throughout the 20th century, the OLTO-8 Chrono Gate reinterprets the tradition of mechanical watchmaking through a contemporary design lens — proposing a more deliberate, more ritualistic way of experiencing time.

At the centre of the dial stands the iconic "Time Key" — the visual soul of the piece and the mechanical heart of its time-display system. Driven by a precisely engineered key-swing mechanism, it governs an automatic transition between 12 and 24 hour modes, tracing the passage from day into night with natural, uninterrupted continuity. Time is no longer a static figure to be read — it becomes a living, rhythmic mechanical event.

The dial features classical guilloché engraving, set within a restrained compositional layout — honouring the heritage of fine watchmaking while aligning with a distinctly contemporary visual sensibility. When the sculpted skeletonized hands overlap, they naturally form the brand's signature numeral "8" — embedding brand identity within the mechanical interaction itself, rather than relying on additional graphic or logo decoration.

By design, Chrono Gate speaks in a de-branded minimalist language. Superfluous elements are removed; negative space is given purpose — deepening spatial hierarchy, enriching the experience of reading time, and heightening the ritual of wearing. The 39mm classic round case carries forward traditional watch proportions, while its distinctive mechanical structure and unique approach to time expression lend Chrono Gate a sharply defined modern character.
