About The Entry

Under the client's clear stylistic directive of "Vintage Revival · Quiet Luxury," we moved beyond mere stylistic tropes to propose a more narratively rich theme: "Family Art Museum."

Elements are drawn from the form and essence of the bay, sketching poetic corners of life. Sunlight gently spreads across undulating contours, where the refined elegance of wood and the opulence of stone interact and overlap within flowing light and shadow. The resurgence of Neo-Retro style further clothes the space in an aura of grace and romance.

In terms of layout, we aimed to break away from conventional impressions of luxury residential arrangements. Instead, we approached the overall flow from the perspective of those who would truly live here, thoughtfully planning based on a simulation of the daily lives of this homeowner archetype. Starting from a series of life details, we designed functionalities that align closely with actual living patterns—whether on weekdays or weekends—ensuring that both circulation paths and the functions they connect to better reflect real-life needs. Life and art are subtly intertwined. In design approach and material selection, we sought to balance luxury with a resonance to nature, hoping the overall atmosphere would feel storied, allowing time to gradually impart change. Finally, we believe space needs a sense of breath—leaving room for soft furnishings to add accents infuses the space with a humanistic, narrative quality. The interplay of void and solid, soft and hard, creates a more breathable environment, echoing the "permeability" of an art gallery.

We believe the essence of "Quiet Luxury" lies not in ostentation, but in the sedimentation of time and the transmission of culture. Thus, we treat the entire space as a curated field, using "past, present, future" as a temporal thread, allowing soft furnishings to serve as the emotional and aesthetic link connecting all three. The space itself becomes a chronicle of the family.
