Newport Plaza

Newport Plaza is a landmark mixed‑use high‑rise development redefining the relationship between architecture, city and everyday life at the nexus of Singapore’s Central Business District and the future Greater Southern Waterfront. Conceived as a contemporary gateway, the project integrates residential apartments, serviced apartments, offices, retail and publicly accessible spaces within a compact vertical form that responds to its strategic urban location.

The design is guided by the concept of a “Urban Hill” for life and wellness, where critical urban activities are elevated and distributed according to respective components on various floors to achieve an urban multi‑mix design. This approach creates a balanced and vibrant environment that supports diverse users across multiple levels while optimizing views and space efficiency.

Landscape is a defining element of the architectural experience. Cascading gardens, sky terraces and rooftop landscapes are integrated throughout the podium and tower, achieving more than 100% landscape replacement. Extending seamlessly from street level to the top of the tower, this continuous vertical greenery enhances user experience by connecting daily activities with nature across all programs, from public spaces and workplaces to living environments.

The podium incorporates publicly accessible POPS (Privately‑Owned Public Spaces), conceived as a modern city square that supports social interaction, events and gatherings. These spaces enhance visual and physical connectivity to surrounding streets and transit networks, reinforcing Newport Plaza’s contribution to the public realm and pedestrian life.

Environmental performance is embedded through horizontal shading devices, low heat gain façade, high performance glass, energy‑efficient air conditioning systems, environmentally‑friendly lighting with sensor‑driven controls, and water‑efficient systems. These strategies have enabled the development to achieve BCA Green Mark Platinum (Super Low Energy) certification for both residential and non‑residential components, demonstrating a strong commitment to energy efficiency and long‑term sustainability.
