From the East, Toward the World: Haichen Yuanjing

Located in the Sijiqing area along Beijing’s West Fourth Ring Road in Haidian District, ORIGIN ESTATE sits within the cultural lineage of the historic “Three Hills and Five Gardens,” with a gross floor area of 80,000 square meters. As the inaugural luxury residential project of CSCEC Yipin—whose name evokes an idealized realm—it follows the concept “From the East, Toward the World.” By reinterpreting Eastern ritual order, landscape imagination, and residential refinement, it redefines the aesthetic language of high-end urban living in Beijing.

The design takes Eastern ritual order as its core and reconstructs a “multi-layered garden homecoming” system. From the urban interface to the community entrance, and then to the residential entryway, the spatial sequence unfolds layer by layer, recreating a ceremonial sense of returning home. The community gate establishes the first layer of ritual order through its grand spatial scale. On both sides, gradient ceramic-panel landscape walls are paired with cascading Phantom Blue stone water features, complemented by guardian sculptures inspired by Jiaotu , a traditional Chinese mythical creature associated with gates, thresholds, and protection. Together, these elements create an elegant curvilinear architectural language that frames the transition from the city into the residential realm. Together, the gate and the street-facing landscape wall create a rare approximately 200-meter super urban interface in Haidian, engaging in dialogue with both history and the future. Upon entering the community, a Song-inspired garden unfolds through “one axis, five realms, and ten refined scenes.” Drawing on the refinement of classical Song aesthetics, the landscape transforms historical elegance into a sequence of lived spatial experiences, allowing residents to encounter tradition through movement and dwelling.

The residential façade evokes Eastern aesthetics through the ethereal layered eaves of immortal mountain pavilions, with crafted stone and aluminum panels extending horizontal visual tension. The entrance lobby, shaped like palace lanterns, creates a warm transitional space for an emotional shift from public to private.

Through meticulous craftsmanship, ORIGIN ESTATE creates a private luxury residence in Haidian, bringing Eastern aesthetics into dialogue with contemporary urban vitality.
