SINO COURTYARD（上城十号院）

Centered on the concept of "Brocade Landscape & Elegant Mountains-Rivers," the project integrates the oriental essence of the Qing-era "Jingling Picture Scroll" into a modern urban resort setting, creating a dialogue between ancient heritage and contemporary lifestyle. The layout follows a "Three-Courtyard" sequence: the "Cloud-Treading Brocade" entrance establishes ceremonial grandeur; the "Zen-Stone Cultivation" sunken courtyard offers serene retreats; while the "Brocade Four Realms" unfold immersive experiences from garden gatherings to forested valleys. Materiality blends natural stones like Fuding Black and Baipo Yellow with textured PC pavers, echoing the scroll's fluid aesthetics. Planting schemes use large-canopy trees as structural frameworks, enriched with seasonal flowering and foliage varieties to ensure year-round visual interest. Through spatial narrative and material refinement, the project translates Nanjing's cultural legacy into a tangible, relaxed living experience, harmonizing oriental elegance with urban vitality.
