This is a modular seating system designed for small-space living environments. By combining modular upholstered cushions with a solid wood base structure, and allowing flexible add-on components such as backrests, armrests, and side tables, each seating unit can be quickly adapted into an armchair, a loveseat, an ottoman, or a combined unit with temporary storage functionality to suit different usage needs. The core of the design lies in achieving greater spatial adaptability with the fewest possible basic modules. Users can define functional combinations according to apartment size, number of family members, and daily living habits, enabling the product to accommodate seating, temporary placement, and spatial organization needs within limited living areas. It is well suited to the flexible and evolving lifestyles of contemporary urban households. The design draws inspiration from the clear and honest structural expression of wooden furniture, using a simple metal frame with a wood-grain transfer finish to support the upholstered modules. Through the use of upholstered elements with recessed cutouts, the structure is no longer concealed, but instead takes on multiple roles at once: providing support, enabling connection and expansion, and serving as a key part of the product’s visual identity. The primary load-bearing structure adopts a metal frame system, forming a stable base and upright support structure. The upholstered modules use high-density foam, multilayer padding, and fabric wrapping techniques to ensure comfort and durability. Accessories such as backrests, armrests, and side tables are connected to the base through a unified threaded-rod interface system, enabling standardized compatibility between modules. Structural components including the base frame, uprights, armrests, and side tables are made of metal with a wood-grain transfer finish, which helps reduce cost while still conveying a warm and natural residential character. The upholstery consists of foam wrapped in linen-blend fabric, providing a comfortable seating experience and a soft visual effect.
