About The Entry
“Futurliner” is an aircraft livery applied in early 2026 to a Gulfstream G600 at the manufacturer’s paint facility in Savannah, Georgia.
The project evolved from a concept originally created for the Bombardier Global 7000, which received an Aerospace and Aviation Design Award in 2025. Rather than simply transferring the initial composition, the livery was entirely reworked to respond to the specific proportions, volumes and structural characteristics of the G600.
A deep blue base is contrasted with snow white graphic elements. Fine horizontal lines extend across the fuselage, visually lengthening the aircraft and accentuating the impression of speed. Their precise spacing and gradual development create a controlled sense of movement while preserving the clarity of the overall silhouette.
Three broad white bands cross the upper and lower surfaces of each wing. Inspired by the invasion stripes seen on historic aircraft, they are reinterpreted through a restrained civilian vocabulary and integrated into the geometry of a contemporary business jet.
The design establishes a dialogue between past and present. References to the streamlined aesthetics of the 1930s and 1940s are translated into a modern composition conceived to remain distinctive without becoming dependent on a passing visual trend. The result is a livery that appears both contemporary and deliberately timeless, while giving the Gulfstream G600 a strong and immediately recognisable identity.
