Solar X

Mitolux Solar X is a multi-spectrum LED light system designed to recreate selected biological aspects of natural sunlight. The device integrates ten selected wavelengths spanning the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared regions: 295nm and 310nm UVB, 365nm and 380nm UVA, 415nm violet, 465nm blue, 590nm amber, 630nm red, and 850nm and 940nm near-infrared.

These wavelengths are organized into eleven operating modes across four practical categories. Amber/Red/NIR modes — Healing, Fireplace 1, Fireplace 2, and GAMA — involve no UV exposure; Fireplace modes are designed for extended daily sessions, while Healing and GAMA are structured for shorter, focused sessions. Sun Modes — Sun 8 AM, Sun 10 AM, and Sun 12 PM — recreate the natural progression of sunlight across a day: early light relatively richer in visible red and infrared, with ultraviolet exposure increasing as the sun rises higher toward midday. This reflects the Solar Preconditioning Concept: pairing UV wavelengths with visible and near-infrared light, the way UV occurs within a broader spectrum in nature rather than in isolation. Dedicated Tanning, Bronzing, UVA, and UVB modes let users approach specific wavelength categories more intentionally, rather than relying on one generic UV setting.

Within Sun Modes, UV Index rises from 3 to 6 to 11 across the three presets, with recommended session lengths shortening as intensity increases — a structured, progressive approach to indoor light exposure.

At 465nm, the blue wavelength is associated with melanopsin, a light-sensing pathway involved in circadian signaling and daily rhythm regulation — placing Solar X's spectral design in dialogue with how the body reads time-of-day light.

Rated for a 20,000-hour LED lifespan and set up via tabletop stand, door mount, or VESA-compatible monitor arm, Solar X treats sunlight not as one wavelength to replicate, but as a full, changing spectrum brought indoors.
