About The Entry

For nearly three decades, DB&B has partnered with organisations across Asia to create workplaces that respond to evolving business needs through thoughtful design, integrated delivery and meticulous craftsmanship. Its new headquarters presented a unique opportunity to become both designer and client, creating a workplace that not only supports its own people but also serves as a living demonstration of its design philosophy.

Rather than designing a conventional office, the project was conceived as a workplace laboratory where ideas can be experienced, tested and continuously refined. Every space was planned to showcase how workplace strategy, technology, craftsmanship and adaptability come together to enhance collaboration, wellbeing and the overall employee experience.

The arrival sequence replaces the traditional reception with a hospitality-inspired lounge that encourages interaction from the moment visitors enter. A large-format digital display, bespoke furniture crafted in DB&B's own manufacturing facilities and carefully layered architectural elements create an engaging first impression while demonstrating the firm's integrated design and build capabilities.

At the heart of the workplace, a flexible social hub and material library function as collaborative studios where designers and clients can explore finishes, develop concepts and review prototypes together. A collection of meeting environments offers distinct spatial experiences tailored for strategic discussions, creative workshops and focused collaboration, each expressing a unique interpretation of the workplace journey through carefully curated materiality, lighting and architectural detailing.

Beyond the client-facing spaces, the headquarters operates as a fully functional commercial workplace. A diverse mix of work settings, including collaborative neighbourhoods, focus spaces, agile meeting areas and wellness facilities, supports different workstyles while providing clients with first-hand experience of contemporary workplace solutions in everyday use.

Every bespoke element, from precision-crafted joinery to custom lighting, reflects DB&B's in-house manufacturing expertise and commitment to quality. Sustainability is embedded through durable materials, adaptable planning and timeless design, while integrated workplace technology remains intentionally discreet, allowing people and collaboration to remain at the centre of the experience.

More than a corporate office, DB&B's headquarters is a living workplace that continuously informs future projects, demonstrating how thoughtful design can evolve alongside the changing needs of organisations and their people.
