Noir Ember Residence

Noir Ember Residence is a five-level private retirement residence created for a couple entering their next stage of life. Commissioned by their daughter, the home is designed not only for quiet living, but also for warmth, gathering, and meaningful family connection.

The lower levels are shaped as the public heart of the residence. The first floor offers an intimate setting for friends to gather, converse, and watch films, with a dark fireplace wall and projection function creating a cinematic atmosphere. The second floor extends this shared experience through dining and kitchen life. Above, the third to fifth floors become increasingly private, supporting rest, personal routines, storage, and long-term comfort.

Through restrained materials, warm lighting, refined proportions, European modular cabinetry, and whole-home smart control, the project turns vertical living into an elegant and intuitive experience. It is a retirement home that remains social, private, cinematic, and deeply livable.
