Fucuo·Lanhu Yuechen

Located in the heart of Fuzhou, this landscape project draws inspiration from the city’s legacy as a starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and its municipal flower, the jasmine. Through a modern aesthetic lens, it weaves local refinement into the space, balancing urban energy with a sense of understated luxury.

Rather than replicating traditional motifs, the design abstracts the jasmine into paving patterns and stone inlays. The flowing curves of silk are echoed in landscape arches, curved eaves, and water features. These cultural references blend seamlessly into modern spaces, delivering a subtle yet powerful expression of Eastern elegance.

The layout establishes a spatial framework of two axes, three moods, and two gardens. This choreographs a progressive emotional journey for residents returning home. The sequence begins with the ceremonial feel of a hotel-style entrance, moves through the expansive central axis, and settles into the relaxed intimacy of secluded gardens, gradually filtering out urban clamor and allowing residents to shift their mindset as they walk in.

Functionally, the design goes beyond traditional scenery-only landscaping. Sunlit lawns, vibrant flower borders, and circular walking paths serve as foundational elements, connected to the themed stilt floor to create leisure zones for all ages. This naturally encourages social interaction among residents, enriching the vitality and warmth of the community.

Plant selection prioritizes native species to ensure local relevance while delivering seasonal beauty throughout the year. Water features and lush blossoms intermingle to cultivate a resort-like ambience in the city center. Overall, the project harmoniously blends cultural heritage with poetic living, culminating in an ideal space that feels both timeless and deeply resonant.
