Shenzhen Shiyuefu Residence

Tailored for a post-90s elite returnee couple, this residence departs from the heavy carvings of traditional French design to embrace a minimalist philosophy defined by softness, elegance, and coziness. Using classical French symmetry and spatial hierarchy as its framework, the design infuses the natural warmth of time, crafting a timeless, tranquil sanctuary for homeowners who have experienced the world’s vibrant energy yet cherish a serene retreat.

In the entryway, a custom marble floor unfurls like a painting. Art glass and a vintage accent table play with the shifting light, setting a romantic French tone right from the start. The living room and lounge flow seamlessly into one another, forming an open social axis. At its heart, a fireplace with European-style detailing anchors the space as a quiet focal point. The sofas and coffee tables are arranged in a clustered configuration, inviting transitions between conversation, reading, and quiet contemplation of the view beyond. The lounge’s enveloping layout naturally draws people closer together, making it perfect for family time, entertaining friends, or simply curling up with a book on a quiet afternoon. Transitioning to the dining area, an integrated Chinese and Western kitchen creates an open culinary space that balances everyday warmth with formal entertaining. Tucked away as a quiet retreat, the study combines a full-wall bookcase with a rich walnut desk, offering a peaceful corner to focus and think. As the emotional heart of the home, the master bedroom pushes French romance to its zenith. A floral accent wall is beautifully complemented by a movable screen, while an artistic chandelier casts an enchanting atmosphere. The guest room exudes a restrained, warm French-retro ambiance, crafted with low-saturation micro-cement, a lacquered folding screen, and artistic pendant lighting. Every detail—from tactile materials and carefully curated details—comes together in pursuit of perfection.

This relentless pursuit of excellence extends into a low-carbon ethos. By optimizing natural light and ventilation, utilizing modular layouts, and selecting eco-friendly materials, the residence redefines understated luxury that is truly sustainable, allowing the space to ultimately serve and elevate daily life.
