It began as a transitional space—somewhere you pass through without really noticing. But through thoughtful design, it has evolved into a destination: a place where you can pause on purpose, explore at your own pace, gather with others, connect across shared interests, and meet, work, study, or simply belong.

At Y Catering, we’re shaping a new pattern of campus life—quietly, deliberately, and with food at the center of the experience. Here, food is more than a service. It becomes the social rhythm that brings people together, turning everyday moments into shared memories. This project transforms the way the campus “holds” people—from passing time to meaningful time.

We created a space that feels open, alive, and flexible. A dynamic wall animates the environment and acts as a responsive visual anchor. Lush greenery softens the atmosphere, improving comfort while reinforcing a sense of calm and care. Varied seating experiences invite lingering, conversation, collaboration, and recharging. With catering seamlessly integrated into the environment, the space supports real use—not merely a frequently underused transitional lobby area.

Notably, this new catering space connects naturally with the urban farm located a few floors above. The result is a farm-to-table experience that becomes tangible within everyday campus life. As a destination with multiple roles, functions, and experiences, it offers discovery for food lovers, focus for study sessions, and a place for friends to meet beyond break time.

Most importantly, it becomes enjoyable—not because it demands your attention, but because it makes room for your life. The more the community visits, uses it, and adds their own moments, the more the space becomes theirs. This is not just a redesigned area—it’s an evolving campus living room, designed to welcome participation and turn ordinary days into experiences worth returning to.
