About The Entry

Guided by the principle of “less is more, materials are decoration, and light creates atmosphere,” the project brings the language of contemporary Italian residences and modern architecture into an urban apartment. Moving beyond stylistic embellishment, architectural volumes, clean lines, and curved surfaces establish a clear spatial order and sculptural quality. Rather than following short-lived trends, the design prioritizes long-term living, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and enduring appeal.

Wood, stone, artistic coatings, glass, and metal form the core material palette. Contrasts between hard and soft, rough and smooth, dark and light, cool and warm create visual tension and depth. Dark stone and walnut establish a grounded foundation, while artistic coatings soften expansive surfaces and natural stone such as red travertine provides focused visual accents. Materials simultaneously serve as decoration, storage, partitioning, and spatial definition, integrating aesthetics into everyday living.

With 3000K warm light as the unified tone, the design moves beyond conventional central lighting to create a four-layer lighting system: ceiling indirect lighting, integrated cabinet lighting, focused accent lighting, and decorative lighting. Light is concealed within ceilings, cabinetry, and architectural joints, using wall washing, diffusion, and focused illumination to establish depth and rhythm. As light interacts with stone, wood, and artistic finishes, the space takes on different moods throughout the day.

Curved ceilings, rounded walls, floating cabinetry, and modular wall compositions soften the rigidity of conventional apartment layouts. Glass and greenery partitions define functional zones while preserving visual and natural-light continuity. A fully integrated wall-and-storage system combines storage, display, and architectural surfaces into one cohesive element, reducing visual clutter while improving usability. Starting from everyday circulation and routines, the design balances openness, privacy, storage, and social interaction.

Rather than treating “Italian luxury” as a collection of visual symbols, the project translates it into a lasting spatial experience: restrained forms reduce visual overload, authentic materials create enduring character, layered lighting shapes atmosphere, and integrated design enhances everyday efficiency. The result is a contemporary living environment that combines sculptural expression, comfort, and practicality—extending the value of design beyond the first impression and into the experience of everyday life.
